The AD-170S is a more compact version of the AD-170. Made from precision-machined 6061 T6 aluminum and finished with a hard coat T3 Mil-Spec anodize, it features the patented QD Auto Lock™ Lever system, which ensures compatibility with both in-spec and out-of-spec rail systems. The AD-170S was not designed for our scopes but the footprint will mount to all models of our digital scopes, including the ZULUS HD, ThermNight and Hydra series. Available in Black.
The AD-170S base features the Patented QD Auto Lock(tm) Lever system which has the following advantages:
The AD-170S base is precision CNC machined from a block of 6061 T6 aluminum and finished in hard coat type 3 Mil-Spec anodize for a rock hard lasting finish.
Disclaimer: The ADM is very low profile and will lower your optic height from 1.54” down to 1.2”. If you need to raise the optic height back to factory height, a third party riser will be needed.
This mount works with our optics but it is not made specifically for them. The channel is wider than the ridge under our scopes. The mount will come with M5x8 screws that we supply, do not use the factory mount screws as they are too long or any screws other than the countersunk M5x8. This mount will also shift your optic forward so your eye relief will shift. The Midwest Industries Atlas QD works well as a riser and gives the proper offset reverse cantilever as our factory non-QD mount.
Nice quality and easy to use
This item was exactly what I needed for my Thermnight. To be honest, I use many clip clip-ons from Amazon for a lot cheaper and they never failed me, and made out of the same type of chunk of aluminum this is made from, in fact, I’m using a few now and all my scopes and they hold a zero. The reason why I chose this specific brand product was because I needed something that would make my Thermnight a clip on due to its different screw on configuration. Don’t get me wrong. The product is a good quality product like most of the stuff I bought elsewhere made from the same materials but $90 for a tiny piece of aluminum is insane. $45-$50 would have been more reasonable. I really wanted it so I bought it, didn’t need it, but it’s nice to have. Other than that, the product works as intended.
I wish it had a tighter fit with the Zulus footprint but it's holding up for now. We'll see how well it does long-term.
Well made
Holds zero great. I have it mounted on a 635 hydra that I use as both a handheld monocular and then on a .22. Never had issues returning zero after taking it off and remounting it.
