NVMD-C200 Firmware Update Guide

1. Download the firmware package from DNT Firmware Update Center.

2. Extract the downloaded ZIP file to obtain the .swu firmware file.

3. Connect the NVMD-C200 to your computer using a data cable. The device will appear as an external storage drive.

4. Copy the .swu file into the root directory of the NVMD-C200 drive.

5. Safely eject the drive from your computer after the transfer is complete.

6. Restart the NVMD-C200. The power indicator will blink orange during the update process.

7. When the indicator turns solid blue, the update is complete.

8. Go to System Settings > Version No. to verify the installed firmware version.

To ensure optimal performance, please update your device’s firmware to the latest version.

Note for TNC225R, HYDRA, and HYDRA-LRF Users: macOS does not natively recognize these scopes when connected via USB because they register as Android devices. To successfully connect your scope to a Mac, you will need to use a third-party file transfer application designed for macOS and Android communication, such as OpenMTP.

• For Mac users, please download the Android File Transfer first to ensure successful use of the Hydra and ThermNight TNC225R.

Important Notice for macOS Users:

By default, macOS Archive Utility treats the .swu firmware file as an archive and extracts it into a folder. This prevents the NVMD-C200 from recognizing the update, as the device requires the original .swu file.

You have two options to ensure correct extraction:

Option 1:

Open Archive Utility > Preferences, then uncheck “Keep Expanding if Possible.” After this change, double-clicking the firmware ZIP file will correctly generate the original .swu file.

Option 2:

Use a third-party extraction tool such as The Unarchiver.
