HS225 - Hydra 256x192 25mm Multi-Function Thermal Scope - Standalone Scope, Clip-On, Handheld Monocular

Love the new thermal scope. I don't have much to compare it to since this the first thermal scope I have owned or used. With that said I love all the different features, color layers and the fact it can record. I also love the ease of sighting it in. I think it was a great choice for a beginner like me to get for a first time thermal scope and would definitely recommend it for a beginner or someone with a little experience.

The overall optic is nice, design and look is very clean and clean but my issue is the usage. Call me an idiot but figuring out how to use it past 10-15 feet has proven to be a choir. I have had to do alot of reading and testing to try and figure out how everything works and still run into accidentally pushing the wrong key and going into an entirely different mode or setting therefore having to find my way back out of that mode and starting all over. I have even had a friend who has extension knowledge of other thermals try and sort it out and he said the same thing that the optic is truly not as user friendly as he would like in comparison to other brands sold at places like Scheels and Cabelas. That being said I am still working with it and hope I will get more time to really sort it out and maybe find some more in depth videos that show the full ins and outs so that I can fine tune using it and put this piece to work soon.

I was skeptical at first on the purchase from dot but after receiving it and sighting it in, it has awesome clarity. I was very impressed as a first time purchase of a thermal optic. Very straight forward and is fun to use for the ranch and home. Plan to purchase more awesome turn around time and havent had any issues so far. Product is awesome just bite the bullet and get yours right now!!!

Great price good quality.

MY FIRST THERMAL SCOPE, I LOOKED AT SEVERAL REVIEWS AND THEY WERE ALL GOOD. ITS EASY TO GET STARTED AND SHOOTING.
WORKS GREAT AND VERY FUN TO PLAY WITH.

Super amazing thermal at a great price point! Fast shipping too!!

It’s beautiful but confusing, I’ve been working with it for a couple weeks and still having issues with getting it to focus further. Not sure what I’m doing wrong but it’s fuzzy out past 10-20 feet even with fine tuning the back cup and I can’t make out anything but blurs at this point.

It has been awesome for 0-200 yard Coyote hunting in Northern Michigan forest so it definitely surpassed my expectations in terms of performance.

It being well under 1000$ for a beginner thermal makes biting the bullet on trying one feel way less risky. With this one you feel you definitely got your money's worth for what you paid for.

The product is unusable in my opinion. The adjustments for focus are very difficult to operate and things were out of focus and fuzzy with my best attempts to focus.
