I planned to start my review by saying "this is a great scope." But honestly it is so much more than that. This is a game changer for me! It is so much more than a scope. With day/night capability, thermal imaging (the white hot is my favorite),built in range finder, and ballistics calculator; my hunting experience is moving to a whole new level. With a simple scan in the thermal mode, I can quickly find targets even before I spot them. With the "picture in a picture" capability I don't have to trade off the thermal advantage while acquiring the target. Then, using the range finder and auto ballistic calculator, I can quickly take the perfect shot.
The only draw back I found is that user manual. I find the manual woefully lacking. However, there are multiple you-tube videos that go through all of the functions and options for this scope. Many of those videos give great set up recommendations and explain the functional differences. These videos were helpful as I was making set up decisions. If DNT added professional set up and usage video content similar to the you-tube video's, that would make everything about this experience perfect.
I have friends with other scopes that have similar functions. However, for the TNC225R price, this "game changing tool" can't be beat. That's why I changed my mind and decided not to simply say this is a great scope. This is so much more. I highly recommend. In fact, I'm trying to decide if I should get another one!
