DNT Quick Tips: Product Use & Care

[All Scopes]
  • Clean lenses only with a lens cloth and approved cleaner or wipes. Avoid cloths with grit, as they can scratch the glass.
  • On first use, adjust the ocular/diopter before setting focus or parallax. Once set, it rarely needs readjustment.
  • Use DNT-supplied or other high-quality, compatible mounts and rings to prevent mount failure or scope damage.
  • Be mindful of recoil: make sure your scope, mounts, and rings are rated for your cartridge. Refer to the User Manual for recoil ratings.
  • When mounting your scope, torque every screw properly to ensure durability and maintain zero. Use a torque wrench for best results.
[All Digital Scopes]
  • Always keep the battery cap tightly secured. Poor contact may cause a red/blue screen or unexpected shutdown.
[All Thermal Devices]
  • Your thermal device will perform periodic NUC (Non-Uniformity Correction). During NUC, the shutter drops and the image may freeze for 1–5 seconds — this is normal.
  • Thermal sensors can be damaged by intense heat sources such as fire or direct sunlight. Do not point your thermal device to them, and keep the objective lens covered when not in use.
[All LRF Models]
  • Gyroscope reading is critical for ballistic calculations. Check calibration if results seem off.
