HS219 - Hydra 256x192 19mm Multi-Function Thermal Scope - Standalone Scope, Clip-On, Handheld Monocular

The 256 19mm hydra is a huge value for the money. A very usable 256 resolution sensor! I think this is great for a affordable thermal. For the money this thing is feature packed. Dnt is doing great things bringing such feature packed optics at such a great price. Even the 640 hydra is half the price as other like units from competitors. I certainly will buy again. Multiple uses is huge to. Use as a clip on, standalone or monocular is an awesome bonus. If your looking at purchasing don't hesitate!

Better picture than I thought it was going to be. Works great for scanner and as a scope. Have yet to try it as a clip on. So far I’m impressed.

Great price finally a company has done it. This scope was easy to use and zero in after watching a few you tube videos. I'm 53 years old and never done a review in my life until now because I want everyone to know just how awesome this thing is. Played around with the button learned how to use it really fast. Because its thermal I had to put a sock on a target paper to sight it in. I took a hand warmer put it out the sock for 5 minutes and when I set it up, I could easily see the targets to zero it in. Buy it you want regret it!!!!

I have looked through all the big name brands expensive and cheap and this it the BEST one for starting out I love it and will definitely upgrade down the road with DNT!!!!

I am thoroughly impressed with the Hydra. I went with the 219 because my intended use is as a handheld scanner (shoot using a Zulus v2). The 219 has a 2.0x standard magnification which gives a better field of view compared to the 225. I have no doubt it would work well as a dedicated rifle scope as well, I just live in an area where positive identification is tricky under thermal alone (even 640+ resolution) due to closer neighbors. Easily identified deer at 200-250 yards and detected to around 1000 yards (furthest opportunity I have had so far). Have also detected golf ball sized birds at around 200 yards... its like a superpower.
