Combining Standalone Scope, Clip-On, Handheld Monocular, Laser Rangefinder, and DNT Ballistic Engine, the HS650R features a 640×512 thermal sensor and 50 mm objective lens for maximum clarity and precision. The included QDM150 quick detach mount allows effortless switching between handheld scanning and rifle-mounted shooting. From open fields to distant ridgelines and mountain valleys, the HS650R delivers the performance needed for the most demanding hunting scenarios.
When the distance is uncertain and every shot counts, the HS225R gives you the data needed for precise holds. Its integrated laser rangefinder measures distances from 5 to 1,300 yards, while the DNT Ballistic Engine delivers instant, accurate drop compensation. Ballistic profiles can be configured directly on the device or through the DNT App, helping you stay prepared for different rifles and loads.

Whether scanning open fields or observing distant terrain, the HS650R reveals fine thermal details with exceptional clarity. Its high-sensitivity 640×512 sensor with 12 μm pixels and ≤18 mK NETD delivers detailed thermal images with enhanced observation capability at extended distances. DNT’s Image Super Resolution (ISR) enhances image quality to a near 960-equivalent level at 10x digital zoom. With 2.5x base magnification and up to 10x digital zoom, it provides the clarity needed for detailed target identification.
Choose from 8 thermal color palettes to match changing terrain, weather, and background conditions. Whether detecting subtle heat differences or maximizing target contrast, the right palette helps you spot and identify targets more effectively.
At just 18.2 oz (516 g), the HS650R remains compact enough for extended field use. Two rechargeable batteries provide up to 8 hours of total runtime (4 h per battery), while its IP67-rated, shock-resistant housing withstands recoil up to .50 BMG. Ideal for long-range hunting, wildlife observation, and extended field use, it excels where maximum detection distance is essential.
Great resolution, intuitive interface, acceptable weight. Out of the box the 650 seems like a good investment.
I'm blown away by the clarity of the HS650R thermal 3-1 clip on, dedicated scope and monocular. I've set it up on multiple rifles and it always returns to zero. It's the first and last thermal you'll need to buy!
Totally impressed and happy with the HYDRA! Extreemly well built. The features and the resolution are second to none. Navigating through the menus was easy and intuitive. You can't go wrong with this thermo - especially for the $price$.
Far exceeded my expectations, and is well worth the price. Looking forward to more product developments from this company. Highly recommend. Visibility and actuance (edge sharpness) of the images is stunning once you get the front and rear focus dialed in. There are a few negative reviews online about this particular product.......do yourself a favor and ignore them. At least give this thing a try. Doubt you'll be diasappointed.
This thermal scope is amazing! I wasn’t entirely sure what to expect when I was researching my options, but I’ve been very impressed so far. Even on warmer days, it does a great job picking up the temperature differences between animals and their surroundings. Being able to scan the woods at night and spot deer, squirrels, rabbits, and other wildlife that you would never normally see is just plain cool!
I love that it can be used both handheld and mounted on my rifle. The zeroing program is simple to use and works well. My only advice is that the 2.5x minimum magnification feels a little tight when scanning nearby woods or a close tree line. If that’s your primary use, you might want to consider the 635R instead.
I’ve only had it for a couple of weeks, and I haven’t been hunting with it yet or tried it in front of my LPVO. So far, though, I’ve had a blast using it just to explore my property. If it’s this much fun already, I can’t wait to see how much I enjoy it once I get more familiar with it in the field!
I bought the scope for my son and his 50th birthday. He loves it. Exactly what he wanted.
Great excellent quality for the price
Worth every penny!
Scope is easy to use. Did a quick zero and made some further shots hog hunting with it. Good scope for close and long range hunting
