H635R - HOUND Handheld Thermal Monocular with LRF and Ballistics

So have had the chance to take this out now and wanted to wait till I could actually test it. First off let’s talk DNT, good company real humans who pickup the phone or will fix issues as they come up. I had one product from them and now this is my 3rd. As far as a handheld thermal scanner this is great! Good size, finger controls feel correct, can hear and feel the click on the buttons. Being able to see the NUC countdown is a nice touch. Target detection for hogs is good out 250 with normal conditions. Don’t get me wrong you can find hot spots much further but to really confirm or deny your looking 200-300 yards. I appreciate that they standardized the batteries now on multiple devices (hydra, hound). Only complain I can find is a flip front lenses cover would be preferred. The LRF can be finicky and sometimes doesn’t ping. Overall great device and will keep using it to night hunt hogs. If you’re on the ropes just do it! See 150 yard basic test.

Feels good in hand. Long run time. Clear images up to 500yds. Haven’t really tried it beyond that. Lens cap is a poor design. Didn’t take long for the strap to rip the thin rubber on the cap.

Resolution at different distance settings was very good.

I bought the Hound because it looked like a great monocular. I was pleasantly surprised with it from the start! It is durable, comfortable, easy to use, versatile, and I love the built in range finder! This thermal is definitely worth the price. - Tight lines 'n Short Blood Trails 'Horn 'n Fin Outdoors'

Best thermal for the money, hands down.
