HS325 - Hydra 384x288 25mm Multi-Function Thermal Scope - Standalone Scope, Clip-On, Handheld Monocular

This is my first thermal and it meets or exceeds my expectations. A true light weight and multi use optic. Have used as a handheld scanner and it works well for that application very crisp and clear view out to a couple hundred yards, easy to identify and see coyotes. You can see and identify much further in the open but I hunt in the woods and cant see any further than about 150 yards. The QD mount makes it easy to slap back on the rifle. I used some pic rail covers to ensure it goes back in the correct slot in the dark.

It didn't get 5 stars for two reasons.

1. I wish that it had a dial knob for the focus,
2. Wish the zoom function either had a knob or a dial ring instead of a button and a smooth zoom instead of a stepped zoom..

Give it those two options and there would be no need to purchase anything but DNT.I don't know how those things would affect cost but I would pay a little more for those things.

I purchased my first Hydra HS325 about a year ago for a 308 hog hunting setup. I was so impressed with the scope and the “bang for your buck” I just purchased my second Hydra for a similar build I’m currently working on for my friend.
These thermals punch way above their weight limit for the price! Highly recommend!

Really nice thermal especially for the price. Already brought it on several hog hunts and its been great.

great images and clarity. just getting into using thermals. easy to sight in and menu is easy to navigate.

This sight is perfect for varminting rodents and preditors. The optional QD lever mount is 100% repeatable on an airgun and rimfire. Havent tried it on a centerfire but I have no doubt it will also be repeatable. The controlls are intuative and easily manipulated even in the dark. The record function is nice for documenting shots. Easily downloaded with the wi fi feature. I also like the size, very compact compaired to another NV device I have used. Customer service is first rate even contacted me on a weekend to purchase the QD mount.

Purchased this on black Friday. I just got it sighted in on my AR-10 at 50 yards. Took it out to 200 and had no problems. I was able to easily see steel poppers at that range. The temps were in the high 40s with full sun. I have an oil pump jack approximately 1000 yards away and it is easy to puck up and clearly see what it is. You can even see the oil levels in the holding tanks next to it. Well made and extremely fun. I am looking forward to taking it out on a hunt.

I love this scope! This is my first thermal scope, so I’m not an expert. I’m sure that there are better scopes out there, but not for this price. If this scope is the price that you can afford I definitely recommend. It’s easy to identify the species, for bigger animals, out to at least 200 yards. You can easily identify coyotes out to 150 yards. I don’t regret buying this scope.

This is my first thermal optic, so I did countless hours of research. I was looking for something to take my night time predator hunting to the next level without breaking the bank, and this was everything I could have hoped for. A great picture with EASY Target ID at 150yards. Easy set up on my rifle, and easy pairing with the app. Thank you DNT for making my first purchase a great one!
