Q: Will strong sunshine damage the thermal sensor?

A: Yes. Do not aim at strong heat sources such as the sun or fire, as this can permanently damage the thermal sensor. Sometimes, if HOUND is not properly powered off (for example, due to a loose battery cap or a drained battery), the thermal shutter may not close properly. This means the thermal sensor can be damaged even when the device is powered off. Therefore, please put the lens cap on when the device is not in use.

Q: What battery does HOUND use?

A: HOUND uses flat-top 18650 batteries measuring 65mm × 18mm. (Note: Some 18650 batteries in certain regions come with a protection board, increasing their length to 68-69mm. These longer batteries cannot be used in the device.)
